We spotted this street vendor by Lakeside in Pokhara preparing ice cream for some local children surrounding his cart. We watched as he twisted, turned and tapped on the silver aluminum containers housing this yellow popsicle-like treat.
The ice cream business in Nepal really booms during the hot seasons and we were there right on the cusp of it. You’ll spot familiar brands in supermarkets but there was something really charming about this street vendor tradition selling this type of ice cream.
Because of the polluted water conditions in Nepal that most foreigners are not immune to, I wouldn’t recommend trying these popsicles out but it’s certainly worth looking out for them.
Beautiful documentary Loreen!! :)
Thank you Karim :-)
