Mykonos is, hands-down, the best Greek island to go shopping on. You’ll find little boutiques lining the island’s twisted roads with unique pieces you can’t find elsewhere.
One such find was the hand-made leather sandal brand, Liontis, that we later came to learn was a favourite for Jackie Kennedy herself when she would visit Mykonos. They even had a sandal custom-made for her. This design is still on sale and ever popular today. Here it is below, as the shopkeeper pointed out to us:
These classic sandals come in an assortment of designs and colors for everyone: women, men and children. John and I each bought a pair that we still wear until today (almost two years later). So while they were a bit pricey, they are totally worth the investment because of the high-quality craftsmanship.
