One of the best ways to bring back your travels home and remember all the adventures is through a travel journal. Notable writers throughout history have always been know to have one on them for when inspiration struck along the journey. I never travel without one and often collage tickets or little mementos from the trip directly into them to add to the effect.
And there’s a travel journal for everyone no matter how active you may be at it while abroad or the writing-type, so-to-speak. Travel journals range in style, size and detail – from the colorful ones with pockets and collages to the more basic with maps inside them (like, one of my favorites, Moleskin’s City Notebooks). The smaller and easier to fit in your bag, the better and the more use it’ll actually get. You never know when you might want to jot something down to remember for later.
